This visual correspondence is our project during the residency fellowship “Reconnect” at Villa Clavel.
We employ the “passing it on” approach in our interdisciplinary project. We take elements from each other’s work and integrate them into our own creative processes. Through our daily exchanges, something new emerges—something that pushes boundaries and creates space for the ephemeral, the unexpected, and the non-cognitive.
We aim to convey both the sensory, dynamic, and spatially expansive experience of the works on an intuitive level and their intellectual context within broader social frameworks. The tension between the present and the past of Villa Clavel and its history, as well as our personal sense of place, is the theme of this visual correspondence.
We move associatively through a playful dialogue that interprets the responses and inspires new arguments. Inner worlds of imagination, in particular, are not conceived in language.
It is an experiment.
